The dosage may be increased to 10mcg twice daily based on the patient’s response to the treatment.

HOW TO USE

Before using, check this product visually for particles or discoloration. If either is present, do not use the liquid. Before injecting each dose, clean the injection site with rubbing alcohol. Change the injection site each time to lessen injury under the skin. Inject this medication under the skin in the thigh, abdomen, or upper arm as directed by your doctor, usually twice a day. Injection should be done within 60 minutes before the morning and evening meals (or before the two main meals of the day, at least 6 hours apart). Exenatide should not be used after a meal since it will not work as well. If you are also using insulin, give exenatide and insulin as separate injections. Do not mix them.
